Resolute to receive $1.1M in taxes back from town of Fort Frances

Resolute Forest Products will receive more than $1.1 million in paid taxes back from the town of Fort Frances, Ontario after the company appealed a tax assessment on its idled pulp mill.

A report by Dryden, Ont. news source CKDR says the appeal goes back to tax assessments from 2017.

Some of these funds will be sent to Riversedge Developments, which bought the mill property from Resolute in 2019.
